I love photographing my kitties, Chadwick and Jaxsun. They are hilarious and usually cooperate with me when I have my camera!

Chad and Jax on the tower

Jaxsun relaxin under dining rm table chair

Chadwick, my baby. He's such a precious, sweet kitty.

In motion...Jax chasing Chad into the living room.

The boys finally sharing their food bowl. So cute!

Would love to know what you think!

Are you wanting to know what we think regarding the photography skills or the cuteness of the cats?

I love these pics. The third one especially. I love the composition of this one. I love the reflections in their eyes in the fourth picture and the jumping skills that Jax has!

Well, your kitties are adorable as you already know Cheesy

As for the photos, I think you did quite well.

The cropping in the tower picture is interesting, and not something you see very often.  I do wonder if it would slightly more effective if it was just a little bit wider so you had just a bit more perspective on the environment; maybe if you include part of whatever has their attention.  Without the rest of the photo though I couldn't say for sure, it entirely possible that this is the best possible cropping.

You've got nice perspective for the second one.  I feel like I need to reach right out to it and rub some belly fur! I think that you might want think about depth of field a little bit more when taking shots like this.  I feel like it might have been even more effective if his face was nice and crisp, but you had a really short field making his back legs start to blur.  Of course I don't know what kind of camera you're using so I don't know if that's even possible for you, but still...  Wink

The third photo is my favorite. I think your depth of field is perfect; it would detract from the whole thing if you had anything in focus in the background. Your cropping is very effective...  My attention goes directly to those big bright eyes.  If I were going to suggest anything, it would be to try and dodge a little around the eyes and base of the whiskers to see if there's any fur definition that could be brought out.

Good job on your photos.  It's sometimes hard to get interesting photos of pets, because everyone does it, so most people have seen it all before.  But I'd say you're off to a really good start with some really nice photos!

I can never get a good picture of my cat unless she's outside. I wish I had something better than a digital camera.

These are great photos. I always find it difficult to photograph cats. I am a fan of the very close up of the face. It seem to capture something.

As for cats! Im a sucker. I have my sassy "room-mate" but we have two barn cats that are trying to adopt our house as their house....truth be known Im not exactly struggling to keep them out (shhh). I am lucky enough to have a cat at my office as well. He has his own office chair and sometimes sits on my desk. Boy am I lucky. As are you. Your cats are beautiful and handsome and you are wonderful at photographing them!
