ok, frame yesterday was a horrible violent pink colour (sorry no before, i forgot my camera), but after some sanding, painting with my mum's supplies and a layer of spray varnish it's a lovely antique gold.

then came the mounting. I'm somewhat skint at the moment and have no cardboard big enough to m,ount this picture so I covered the back-board with undyed cotton calico, then laid the photo on and lined it up. I then took some of this gorgeous antique, hand made lace and cut it to length. (found in a charity shop for 1, a 7yard roll!!). Why have beautiful things if you're going to keep them in a drawer?!

so for an incredibly 1.50 I managed to frame a photo we've had in a cardboard mount for nearly 2 and a half years lol!!!

the lace

the photo itself is a very special one to us, it happened on a momentous day for our family. the day my hubby had a vasectomy hahahahaha!!!!
