So you don't need a earring back?   I've never heard of this "thread" before.  I have to go find it!  Cheesy

Nope! you just thread them through and let them dangle.

They don't hurt at all. I actually think they're more comfortable than regular earrings and when I'm wearing them I always forget I have them on.

Ooh, I love threader earrings!  Very nice job!  I have a pair that I bought somewhere a few months ago and they're sooo comfortable, plus there's tons of different ways to wear them.  I was wanting to try and make them, but I didn't know where to get the chain.  Where'd you find it?  How expensive is it?  How are you attaching stuff to the end of the box chain?  Sorry for all the questions.  Your post excited me, lol.

heh it's ok, you buy the "thread" findings premade. So it's the chain with a ball or sometimes a loop at the end and there's the straight piece to thread it through then you just attach beads or charms or whatever you want. The stuff I use is all sterling silver. It can get kind of expensive. I sell them so I can't really give away my source (sorry) but check bead stores and stuff.

I know they thread through your ears, but I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with them coming back out of your ears. The back would be light weight and the front end would be heavy so does it tend to pull back towards the front. We went to a bead store in McPherson, Kansas and they had those thread deals, one person made a pair of earrings with them, she said they were very comfortable.
Sabrinas_Charm-your earrings are lovely
