Here's a butterfly version of the chinese charm purse.  I made it for a friend, she gave my the supplies and i finally finished it today.  I used Red Heart yarn. And i added a zipper pocket on the inside.

The bag looks great! Did it take a long time? Did you line it??

Thanks, and yes it's lined in a lime green that matches the green in the yarn, w/ a purple zipper for the pocket.  The actually knitting took a week or two, on and off.  But i was procrastinating w/ finishing it.

Shocked That's beautiful!  I've made the Charm bag 3 times now and never liked the variation (varigation?) of the yarn I used.  It always came out looking tye-dyed, not striped.

I just bought some Noro Silk Garden to make this bag with in hope that it will turn out striped looking.  But I would love to find a cheaper alternative.   Did you use regular worsted weight Red Heart?  And what color did you use, if you don't mind?

Thanks bunches!

Thank you so much for posting your pick and the fact that you used Red Heart yarn! Now I feel that I can tackle this project. Nice bag! Again thanks! Grin

It looks like Noro doesn't make Gemstones anymore.  I can't find it anywhere.  I'm still going to make the bag out of Noro something though, I think.  The yarns are so yummy looking.
