This is a really cute bag, I like the fabric a lot.

I'm wondering, how does the pocket work?  Which part of it do you sew to the top, where does it open?  Sorry, I just don't get how the pocket works, but I want to make this!

I love the bag! I'm new to sewing and the tutorial was easy to understand. I might just try making one.

 Cry

I know this is an old thread, but what happened to the pics.  I think this is the type of diaper bag I want to make, but cannot tell.  Plus, I am sew-challenged it isn't funny.  I need someone to "'splain" it to me... I need more pictures.

Thanks,
Heather

P.S. I'm looking for this sort of bag...

I want it to stand up on it's own.  I have fabric I'd like to use, but need instruction.  THANKS SO MUCH!

I would imagine that you could use the "Jordy " bag pattern for this, you need to adapt the pattern by measuring the height you want and the width.
I use a long rectangle to make the bag, folded in half, and just cut the corners out to make the bottom square.
The differant fabric on this, I would just add over the top of the main fabric. It would save cutting up the pattern, thus making it more complicated. Plus it would add a stiffness to the bag.
Would advice using an iron on interfacing to get the stiffness in the fabric.

As a thought, maybe you should try posting your question in the discussion section for more people to see, as it will probably get buried in here, no offence meant.
