This is my first post on Craftster, yay me!
I made a little platypus up from the goings-on in my head and would like to share!

(Trust me, he's a lot cuter in person...my camera kinda sucks.)

Here is the pattern in all of its squee-happy glory!
Materials:
Yarn
Hook
Safety eyes - 10 mm
Gauge:
Doesn't matter, the smaller the yarn and hook, the smaller the platypus, and vice versa.
Head:
1. magic ring (6)
2. inc around (12)
3. *sc, inc* around (18)
4. *2 sc, inc* around (24)
5. *3 sc, inc* around (30)
6. *4 sc, inc* around (36)
7-12. sc around (36)
13. *4 sc, dec* (30)
14. *3 sc, dec* (24) Now put eyes on 10 sts apart, between rows 7 and 8.
15. *2 sc, dec* (18) Finish off, weaving the end into the head. Stuff.
Body:
1. magic ring (6)
2. inc around (12)
3. *sc, inc* around (18)
4-10. sc around (18) Finish off. You will use the tail from the body to sew on the head, so leave enough! Stuff.
Bill:
1. magic ring (6)
2. inc around (12)
3. *5 sc, inc* around (14)
4. *6 sc, inc* around (16)
5-6. sc around (16) Finish off.

1. magic ring (6)
2. inc around (12)
3. *5 sc, inc* around (14)
4. *6 sc, inc* around (16)
5-7. sc around (16)
8. *6 sc, dec* around (14)
9. *5 sc, dec* around (12)
10. *4 sc, dec* around (10) Finish off.
Arms (2):
1. magic ring (6)
2-3. sc around (6) Finish off.
Do not stuff the bill, tail or arms.
Feet (2):
1. magic ring (6)
2. inc around (12)
3-4. sc around (12)
5. *sc, dec* around (6) Finish off. Stuff.
Well, there he is! If anyone finds any problems with the pattern, just let me know.
