I made this for saltandpepper in OTT 21.  Her theme was Sesame Street and she said her favorite was Bert.  Well, inspiration hit and this is the outcome.

The outside:

The front:

The back:

The inside with change purse (inside Cookie Monster's belly), keychain and credit card/ID pockets.

Keychain off, the back side says "C is for Cookie"

Cookie with his "mouth open"

This was a great project, I made it up as I went along. The characters are pieced from my sadly huge stash of quilt fabric, fused and stitched then outlined with permanent pen.  Cookie Monster was actually an after thought but I really like how he turned out.

I nearly bust waiting for it to make it to its final home!

I love it.  Especially the cookie monster pocket and matching key chain.  He was always my favorite.  Great job.

Wow your appliques look fantastic.  They look just like the real thing.

I must say though the best part is that Cookie Monster eats your change.

Great Job,
I bet your partner loves it.

Thanks everyone!   Hubby has requested a wallet to include Beaker, Animal and Swedish Chef.   fatewineroses, looking at you avatar, I figure you'll like that one too!  I'll add pics when I get that one done.

Ooh! I'd love to see what you do with Animal! He's my favorite (although I do love Beaker, too). Your Sesame St. wallet turned out awesome! So much fun!
