I love that!  I do wonder if the dog food smell would linger even after washing the can?

I think it might. Maybe cans that held green beans or other vegetables once would be a better idea because the smell of green beans or corn doesn't stick around like the smell of dog food does. I use green bean/other vegetables/fruit cans for pencil holders all the time, but I never thought to make that little drawstring bag. It is so cute. <3

I would love the "math" and the tutorial on this.  I'm always using the plastic cylinders from CD/DVD cases as pencil holders and they would be perfect for this.  No worry about smell at all!  How about peanut butter jars?  I have a bunch of those too.  Thanks in advance for providing a tutorial queenofdiy.  As usual, you are very generous sharing your techniques!
