Around Christmas time I put together this elaborate tea party for my little daughter. I went online bought a small teaset, extra tea cups and saucers, and an extra teapot. The tea cups hold about 3 oz. They are porceline not plastic and are so adorable. Needless to say she loves it.

Anyway we had chicken salad (the recipe calls for basalmic vinagrette and it is so yummy), mini quiches (the only thing I didn't make), plum puffs, cupcakes, and white chocolate mint mousse. Oh and instead of tea we had hot chocolate. She loved it. (Though she was the only little girl: the guests were grandma and aunts.)

What a lovely idea!  I'm glad she enjoyed her party.  Everything looks great.

That is such a lovely idea! Smiley  Did your daughter help with any of the preparations?  A tea party is a great way to teach proper table manners - and it's just fun!  And hot chocolate as a stand-in for tea - perfect for Christmastime. Smiley

She practiced curtsying and saying "Thank you for coming to my party." However, when everyone arrived she was too shy.

I actually got the recipe for the White Chocolate Mint Mousse from the Food Network. It's one of Nigella Lawson's recipes so if you have one of her cookbooks you may already have it. However, here is a link to the recipe.
