What an great gallery this is turning out to be.  Everyone is so talented!!

After the most absolutely horrid week, I came home to an amazing package from Beelisty today.  My camera doesn't come close to showing the marvelous stitch work.

First was this wonderful magnet, which is especially apropos at the moment....


Followed by this gorgeous piece of work (one of my all time heroes...Alice Paul - she'll be going into work with me on Monday)



This next piece of artistry literally brought me to tears, in a good way , it is so moving and beautiful to me - I can't even begin to express how much it means to me. 



And a picture of everything with the literature that Beelisty was able to gather up, which my daughter pretty much absconded with as soon as I got it photographed.....


Thank you so much, Beelisty!  I swear you must be psychic, everything was just so perfect!

Crendon: yes she (CrazyRed) has seen it! We love it at our house. I recently had to do a lecture on Lucy Stone (a woman of the same civil rights movement) and mom helped me a lot. Yet another reason to watch that movie!

I thought it was great...I used bits of it for my presentation.

Wow, all the great packages.  I'd gush individually but I'm so tired right now!    I really love watching the gallery grow.

yay!  i received my package from crazyred and it's AWESOME!!!


here you can see everything she sent me-- the outlet covers, the Rachel Maddow die, the adorable sewing kit tin, and the etched glass canister (full of delicious skittles!!)

it's really hard to see the etched glass (it looks great but does not photograph well)-- one side says EAT ME and the other side says QUEER CANDY.  this totally gives me inspiration to try glass etching myself-- i've been meaning to give it a shot but haven't.

there's a magnet that holds the straight pins, then the felt clasp w/ rainbow button closer holds a ton of needles!  there are also folding scissors and a rainbow of embroidery floss-- I LOVE IT!

I can't choose a favorite item-- i love them all!

that sewing kit is a great idea, too--I have an entry in progress for the Queercraft blog which will have to make mention of it (though it will be a while before I finish anything--I'm really sick right now and have a long recovery ahead)
