I was stuck inside with a sore knee.  I really really really can't wait until we move.  The new place will have an elevator.  I'm in a basement now and when my knee goes out I'm pretty much stuck down here. Sad

I didn't go either. I had to craft pretty much a whole swap package that I"d left till the last minute.

Hi there

I am new to Craftster and am in TO and was wondering if there was any plans for another meet-up for July?

I am always looking for new craft friends.

My main crafts of late are sock monkeys (I made a few for the kids in the family and ended up having to make nearly 20 of them so far and only about 5 of those went to children) and scrap booking (I have several ongoing projects on this area).

Every year for x-mas my husband and I make a craft that we give to all our family and friends, this started out as a way to save money but turned out to be some of their favorite gifts so we have kept it up. Gifts included things like a family recipe book, Christmas Carol CD's (with our family photo on the cd cover), Oil and Herb Baskets, Flavor spoons (these were a blast to make and so yummy in any hot drink), Christmas Balls with family photos on them, handmade photo frames, shadow boxes with personalized scenes in them, and many others.

I look forward to meeting others in the city and hopefully getting some additional craft ideas and just general fun.

Please let me know about future meetings.

thanks.

It seems to be of the on-going variety.  I was walking to the subway station one night and twisted my knee, I think it was because of a sidewalk drive-way ramp thing, anyway, the injury caused an on-going problem that certain exercises are supposed to help, but I haven't noticed any improvement in 2 years. Sad  Now I wear a knee brace if I'm going to be walking any sort of distance, and I try to avoid stairs and activities that might wrench it (you have no idea how much I miss rollerskating this summer!!)

I'm glad of the construction on the Dundas streetcar route, because now the 506 Carlton car comes into Dundas West station instead, and that one drops me on Spadina several stops closer to my work than the Dundas car did.  Less stairs than the subway and a faster commute than it used to be on the streetcar. Yay!

My sympathies fantasticmio - I have bad knees too.

Hey folks, the TCA picnic was re-scheduled to July 5, 2 - 5 pm in Trinity-Bellwoods, because of the rain on the weekend. There is information on their facebook page.

or on the TCA website:

I might go. I'm thinking about it. Not totally sure cause there's lots around the house that really needs doing. (dishes, laundry, mopping....etc) I'll probably decide tomorrow morning.
