Craftster Meetup in Toronto!

Come one come all from all over the GTA and beyond!



May 2 at 2pm we will be meeting up at the Moonbean Cafe in Kensington Market to chat and craft and meet each other!

Everyone participating will be making a wrapped 1-2 point item that is generally craft related to give away! (Think coin purses, key chains, small pictures). If you are going to come, please post in this thread and I will start to compile a list of attendees. That way we will know if I need to call Moonbean ahead of time to warn them of the swarm of Craftsters about to descend on them.

Me too. Can you explain that further?

What we HAD been discussing is that everyone would bring one or two tiny items wrapped and we would all throw them in the center and then everyone just grabs someone else's item. Then we unwrap. It's like a swap for lazy people. This way, everyone gets something, regardless of who actually shows up.

So, yeah, short answer, just bring one or two small items, disguised somehow, and you shall receive the same back

Yeah, the "So we know how many to make.." comment is confusing (and should probably be changed).

We bring one item. That way everyone gets one item.

I wanted to get a general idea of the amount coming, so that if there is an odd number, someone can make something extra just in case. I'm sure we'll figure out the amount closer to the date. I just wanted to prepare everyone to make extra, just to make sure that everyone gets something. CaterpillarPeacock said it best.

An odd number would still work even if we only make one item. We don't have to pair off in two's when we swap. We can pass items to the right or left or we can just put them all on a table and draw numbers to see what order we choose.
