I love that your inspiration is a pillow. You did an excellent job recreating the look in your room. I like how crisp everything looks.

Wow! That is amazing. You did a great job of remaking the space. I love your inspiration pillows, they look great on the couch. Really, fantastic job...I bet your wedding will be just as gorgeous!

Thanks for the wonderful comments everyone!! Cheesy

Before I found the pillow, I honestly didn't really have a basis to go from.  I was couch shopping and found those pillows, even though they were like $30 each I grabbed them, and they gave me somewhere to start.  I was so lucky to find a perfectly (or almost, it's really close enough) matching duvet cover.  My linens were all 30% off, and I found my actual down-alternative duvet at Zellers (kind of like a Canadian Target, for those who've never heard of it) for $40 - it was $70 off!

Every time I come home I have to smile.  Whereas before I would come home and say "this place is a mess, I think I'll clean on Saturday..."

This makes me go "ahhhhhhhh" in the most contented kind of way... would that be "awwwww"?

Anyway, great to have a cleaned-up, warm little den.

I recently moved in with the boy. We bought our first home. But it is not just the boy, it is also our other two boy roommates, so I know the feeling of being overwhelmed by moving clutter and boy clutter.

I want my whole house to look like this room. I like that you had a plan, your pictures inspire me to create a plan of attack on my boy house!

I definitely suggest making a plan beforehand!  That way you have an answer to every "but what about _____?"  Afterwards I printed all the things I was going to buy at Ikea to make the shopping part more efficient.

Unfortunately as we were leaving Ikea we got into a fender-bender with someone who insisted on calling the cops even though the rule in a parking lot is 50-50... not so efficient after that!

beautiful!  i agree with some other posts, take something from your inspiration pillows.  if you've got the $$, buy another one and disassemble for wall art, or take the design and paint/print something.  great job!
