I've been knitting since I was six, (my grandma taught me,) but never really made anything but garter-stitch scarves until I was in high school, where I advanced to garter stitch hats.  Recently, I've dived back in, and gotten much more into knitting, much to my Grandma's delight. I finally finished my first real live sweater project and wanted to share with anyone who will hold still long enough.

Here it is!!!! I wish I had thought a little before I went ahead with those colors- we both love the red/blue color combination, but I think it's a little better on upholstery then it is on actual clothes.  My sister loved it though. I took the picture before I finished weaving in the ends and blocking it, so it dosn't have little danglies coming off of it anymore.

     Thanks for looking!  Grin

does it actually fit you though, that's the question. I am so afraid of crocheting (sorry, don't knit) garments b/c I know they won't fit me.

It dosn't fit me, but it does fit my sister perfectly! The book I got the pattern from has a whole guide to fitting your handmade stuff so it fits you just right. It's called Fitted Knits by Stefanie Japel. I don't know if there's a crochet equivelent, but you could probably even use that guide. Smiley

I love the colors. They are the same colors as my high schools colors were.
