I've been searching everywhere for a nice lacy baby hat pattern in thread, something airy and feminine. Something done with thread in double stitch would be workable but I'm wanting something a bit more open (maybe something spidery and doily-esc.. maybe love knots.) I see these little hats everywhere but finding a pattern.. pff.. no such luck. lol  Roll Eyes
Now I say cloche but I simply mean something close fitting to the head so cloche or beanie are the only descriptors I can think of.
I wouldn't mind purchasing one but I just bought a couple of pattern booklets and the crochet fund has run dry so I'm really hoping for something free.

So baby hat.. in thread.. something open and lacy. Any ideas? Cheesy

Thanks in advance...  Grin

I made this cloche here (the top one) http://www.crazyhatlady.com and it turns out very pretty and airy, here is a picture of it. It looks a little odd because I messed up a bit, but it fits fine and looks fine on the head  Grin

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to,
doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

Ohhh.. I did not know that! Thanks! Wink

I'll definitely go check out the links. Thank you So much boogiedu and mommycrochets! *hugs*

Oh I will say I HAVE been to crochetgarden, she has the cutest things, and I downloaded her free sunhat pattern. I actually just finished the hat recently but it was a bit time consuming for me (I'm NOT the fastest crocheter) and I'd love to find something more like a v-stitch or other quick to crochet/open work pattern. Her's is LOVELY just intricate with lots of teenie tiny chains. Took me days and days to make.. lol I would recommend her darling sunhat though.. it turned out nice I think, despite the fact I farked up and made the brim a bit more ruffly than intended. I even made some sandals to match. (Note to self.. post piccies soon.)

Anywho I've got enough linkage here to keep me busy for a while! Thanks again!  Kiss

(If all else fails and I can't find exactly what I'm looking for .. well I'm going to just have to learn how to make my own. Oo.. maybe something in a shell pattern for the challenge. Lets hope I can find a workable pattern someplace else though..  I just don't know if my skills are quite that good yet.) Wink
