Yaaay! I just finished my first soap ever! I just melted glycerin soap, so I didn't really make the soap, although I'd like to try that too, but I scented the white part with vanilla. The other part of the soap is colored and scented with cocoa powder. I added native coconut oil for better smell. I hope you like it Smiley

I love it!  Grin Did you use a traditional soap mold for it?

I don't know anything about soap - but I wanted to tell you that its so beautiful. Its the sort of thing I would want to put in my bathroom but never use - its way too pretty. Smiley

from the thumb nail I didn't even realize it was soap. I thought you had a real cameo.
That's some really awesome soap. Sounds like it smells good too.

That is gorgeous! How did you achieve such a lovely, rich dark color? I have a thing for cameos and soap, so I like very much! Smiley

Wow, thank you very much for the kind words! Smiley I never thought you might like it that much. Haha, now I'm even more happy Wink

@ehinders: Is a plastic mold a traditional mold? I'm really new to this, so I have no idea! Hm well, I didn't make the mold myself, so I guess it's a traditional mold. But I think it might be fun to use minted chocolate boxes or things like that as a mold!

@Nymeria: It is really just unsweetened cocoa powder! A lot of it though ^^

Oh! You know what? I read that in your original post and I guess it just didn't process with me (it's really not easy being blond...). That *totally* makes sense! I love using cocoa powder as a colorant and that is an excellent use of it!

This made me smile - because I have a thing about both soap and cameos, *and* today I made melt and pour soap for the first time ever too, *and* I had decided to buy this very cameo mould from the company I got the m&p stuff from! Great minds think alike :-)
