Amazing Scarves by Evan Biddell Fall 2009

I'd love to make one myself.... I can knit a basic stitch so that's no problem. But where would I find yarn that thick?  Anyone have any ideas? I can just imagine the size of needles I am going to need for a project like this.

I don't knit, but maybe you could combine many strands of yarn to make thicker yarn.

Those are some neat scarves
you could use whole roving and maybe give it a bit of a spin. I'd imagine using table legs to knit that or something

You might try knitting with strips or tubes of fabric to get a similar chunky look.

Hmm! Thank you... Really good suggestions! I've yet to work with roving, but there's no reason not to try. Also I have some old fake fur I could sew into tubes and give it a test.

...now to arm myself with a pair of table legs!
