for a second there I was like.. hmmmm no message?  blank then I saw the simply amazing come across.  Really cool.  I can't even figure out how to insert smiley faces!

I am having a hard time figuring out how to top that afghan... All the afghans I have seen since just do little for me.  It's terrible..... so being the designing person I am I am going to work on one after the craft show in July.. got to focus on that for the next week - then off to Alabama to visit the inlaws and then the day after we come back is my craft show.. talk about cutting it close!

Thank you all for the kind words.  I love that afghan.  Now I should make one for myself too...
probably in the same colors again. Can't go wrong with those colors!

Yeah, the one I made was only about 6' across - maybe 7.. There were parts of the pattern that called for 2 strands of yarn at one time - I didn't care for the way it felt being thick here and not in other places, so I stuck with the single strand all the way through.

It is a lot of work but it came out great. I would be interested in seeing everyone else's finished blanket.  I still haven't made one for myself.. since making this I have been on designing endeavors that keep me pretty busy.  I really should make this again.  I wonder how she made that frame for hanging.  I couldn't figure out a way to hang it - the best we were able to figure is cut a very thin piece of plywood, piecing it together with other pieces and kind of almost "sewing" it to the wood... this way it didn't sag in the middle..

some day.. some day I will make another one of these.  There aren't too many patterns I would make a second time.. this one I loved the finished product - and it was worth the hassles here or there!

Words aren't enough to express the awe I am in right now.  You're aboslutely brilliant...to have that much patience and commitment to crochet this masterpiece is an achievement in and of itself.  I hope your sister appreciates how much effort went into making it.  Fantastic!
