I'm going through a baking stage right now. (which isn't helping the fact I have to fit into a bridesmaids dress in 3 months!) But on the flip side, I am becoming ever so popular at work, because my co-workers get to taste test my creations the next day. Hah.

These first ones are known as the "Lost Boys" by friends & family. (Those who have seen that old Peter Pan movie "Hook" will know why)

80's anyone? The insides of these were black and pink. The white zig-zag is white chocolate.

Ninja Turtles, perhaps?

Annnd these are mini-cupcakes. The cake part is mixed with cream cheese frosting and just plain ole vanilla. They are coated in white chocolate instead of icing. I'm excited to experiment with these a little more.

Those looks so delicious. Were they your own recipe or did you find the recipe somewhere?

So awesome!  I loved the imaginary food in Hook, and your cupcakes fit it perfectly.

I love all of them, but I especially like how surprising the mini-cupcakes are.  They look like a cute little average cupcake, then BAM!, the actual cake is bold purple.  Awesome.

Thanks guys! The uncooked, colored batter looks SO much like the movie. I remember that being my favorite part of hook when I was a kid.

Casstasstrophie: I saw the idea on a cupcake website, but I ended up using my own recipe for the cake batter. You can pretty much use any recipe you prefer (even boxed) and just add food coloring.

My youngest daughter would love having you for a friend. She loves everything sweet and baked. How she manages to be a size 2 I don't understand.
I'll make sure to show her these the next time she's with me.

Mmmmm cake.
