this is my first pillowcase dress.

i read two tutorials and just kind of winged it.  i used measurments from here http://rowena.typepad.com/rostitchery/a-safer-pillowcase-dress.html
which oddly enough were way to big for my 18m niece... but this person has made dresses for a much smaller baby with these measurments and from the pictures, they fit well....

i also looked at this http://www.jenleheny.com/pillowcase-dress-instructions
which is for bigger sizes.

heres the finished dress

a close up of one of the arms

and a close up of the chest, which i had some issues with.

the whole dress is hand stitched, because i couldnt get to my sewing machine. it took about a week of on and off stitching.
i had to make the elastic ( i used ribbon because i had no elastic ) 3.5 inches instead of the 6" the tute called for. i also had to take the whole thing in about an inch on the left and right... to make the arms fit right...

anyone have better measurments for  12-18m size pillow case dresses ( ive figured out the arm hole measurments, i just need to decide on the chest measurments )  i plan on making another for my nieces birthday and it needs to fit correctly and look nice, since its a gift
