I've made a couple more asymetrical jackets since my original polkadot cord one.

The first one is in my favourite orange bird fabric, reversing to the polkadot cord that I seem to be using for absolutely everything these days.  It has two massive buttons to the side, using the fabric from the other side of the jacket.  I hope this makes the black and white side less 'Halloweeney'  (this is the technical term) than if it was just plain orange buttons.  I was a little bit nervous making it because it was a size 5T and I've never made anything that big before!

The second one is fushia with lime green leaves (I'm obsessed with these colours just now) and I've reversed it to lime green heavyweight cotton.  Lime buttons on the front and pink and white polkadot buttons on the back.  Unfortunately I had run out of massive buttons, so I think these are a bit too small.  I'm trying to decide whether to redo the buttonholes to make them bigger...

Thanks for looking!

I love the green and pink one. How adorable. I think the buttons look great on it.

I love them both.  Esp the orange and polka dot one.  Are you going to be expanding the size range on your coats?  I'd love to be able to make a 5t or larger...  Excellent job!

Your jackets are all lovely!  The little girls who are lucky enough to wear them should feel very special indeed.  Smiley

I might do... I get apprehensive when I don't have an actual child right in front of me to measure and try it on though!
