Help Purchasing Unique Beads (please!!!)

  There used to be a store in Woodstock, NY called Woodstock Bead Emporium. I've gone there since I was small. Last time I visited there I bought a (ceramic/clay/wood) bead in the shape of a dragon & made a necklace for my boyfriend. The dragon bead broke & we went there this weekend & the store was closed (along with a lot of others
My boyfriend was really disappointed that we couldn't buy a new bead. He loved that necklace. I searched online & I can't come up with any good online stores that might carry such a thing.
I was hoping my fellow crafsters might know of a good online store I might purchase this kind of thing from? I don't think its the sort of thing that Michael's or ACMoore, etc. might carry.

I've never seen such a bead, but if you're seriously energetic about this, I have 2 suggestions: try to track down the owner of the store (chamber of commerce or something?) and ask them about any stores that shared suppliers. Or perhaps they can refer you directly to the source...it could be someone local. 

You mentioned stores...did you search Etsy? 

2...this bead is a mixture of ceramic, clay and wood?  Could you or your boyfriend make one? Or commission one from a local artisan?!

I already searched for her online to see if maybe she had an online store, no such luck. I'm not so confident in my dragon crafting skills. I may try the local artisan thing. Thanks for responding, I appreciate it!

Was it anything like this? There's a dragon bead made of the same material that's not shaped like a circle, too, that I've seen around. I think I've also seen similar beads made of bone...

It wasn't a circle- it looked like a dragon with a hole through the top so it could be used as a bead. Where did you see those?

If you still have the broken dragon you could get someone to make a copy in polymer clay.
