These weren't really quilted, but I wasn't sure where to put them. Anyway I made these blankets for my kids. I went to a thrift store and bought a bunch of old levis (love the colored ones from the 80s) and sewed these up. I love them, but boy did they make a mess. They are even still messy (a year later) and I won't wash them with other things as they shed horribly.

I totally made a mistake when I was doing my measurements and ended up cutting some the squares down, but I love the end result.

However the process has made me wary of working with denim again. At least not for a long time that is.

They look super comfy, I had a denim quilt when I was little that I absolutly loved. They last forever!! I like that you did the ragging effect, I didn't think of that...you see I have a box of jeans hanging out in the garage waiting to be transformed. I think I'm gonna have to look at the colored jeans on my next trip out though.

These look great!  I wouldn't have thought of doing a rag quilt in that pattern!  Nice work!

Love your quilts, but I have to warn you that they stay messy for years. Mine is probably five years or older and they are still shedding when I wash them.

Very Nice!! I'm thinking about doing this myself in a lap blanket.

Thanks for the inspiration!!  Grin
