So I've been pinning this dress together in my free time for about a month now, it's not quite finished yet. I'm going to ad some of the rainbow fabric as a binding to the bottom of the skirt around the edges. Anyway, I'm just looking for opinions.
Does the heart at the top work, or should I try another shape?

Thanks!

Here's the dress (sorry for the size):

No no no heart! I do love the dress, great construction and your colors are way cool. It's just that the fabric for the heart kinda gets lost on the blue stripe of the rainbow, and the heart is a entirely diff theme from the rainblows and flowers. What is the dress for ? It is waaaaaaaay cute. Grin

Maybe add a border of some sort around the heart. I agree with fanciflower; it gets lost in the blue. But other than that, I love the heart! ^^

I think the heart might stand out more if it were in a solid pink, to match the pink in the stripes.  Otherwise, I think you could leave it off - there is certainly plenty of other "stuff" going on that it won't look too plain without it. Smiley  The colors remind me of the Lisa Frank stuff I used to like in grade school (and kind of still do)!  Very cool.

adorable dress!  i think you could just leave the heart off...the patterns and colors already stand out in a very feminine and cute way, that i think the heart is somewhat unnecessary.  you could just put a slight V in the bodice and have the shoulder material meet in the center there if you feel like you need something stand-out in the middle.  great job!
