My daughter spied this princess fabric in my fabric stash a few days ago and has not stopped asking for it since. She's 2, so she doesn't understand that it's just fabric until it's made into something. So I made a quick summer nightie to make her happy.

It's not what you know, but what you do with what you know that is important.

Very nice work. And how great it looks like its polyester so its probably flame resistant too! I know, my kids would just play with whole pieces of fabric if I let them.  Leave a scrap out and it becomes a toy.

My 2-year-old is the same way...in fact she has some "hungry-food" fabric (Very Hungry Caterpillar) coming in the mail today...she saw me looking at it on fabric.com and has been begging for it for weeks...I snagged some as soon as it was back in stock.

That's an adorable nightie...it looks great for summer!  :-)

Haha, that's like my 19 month old, too. "I has it? I has it?" ... or she just takes off with something, naming it "Pitty" (pretty... i have a scarf I wear, which is 'pretty' so aside from everything that she decides is pretty, pieces of fabric she takes a fancy to are also to be referred to as a "pretty") and screeching "NO-MINE!" if I try to retrieve it. (however if I really need it, i can distract her with SHOOSH! (shoes) and have whatever i want) (she is very much a girl. lol)
