So many beautiful yarns!

I have a ton this week.

Blood Orange
2-ply bfl and other longwools
It is so soft and it will be mittens


Earth
Art yarn spun from my first batt from a drum carder


Raspberry Jam
Merino roving dyed for felting but it looked bad so I spun the rest.
2 ply It is destined for the loom and my mom.


Sienna
is part of a crazy batt spun with some mohair locks in a 2-ply yarn


Graffiti
Is a yarn series
all 2-ply
all hand carded except for the blue and orange one witch has thread warping on it.
I am thinking I might weave with it or sell the lot.





Superior
as in the Lake
is dyed sock yarn

Oh wow peachymanaangel! That's a lot of beautiful yarn! Great job everyone - it looks great this week! I managed to get some spinning done last night but the camera needs some juice so no pictures from me.

As usual, I'm in awe of the amazing yarns, batts, etc....so beautiful and yum! lol

I kind of have something to offer this week, lol. I finished spinning some roving I had dyed with acid dyes in indigo, leaf green and antique red (which ended up too pink  ). Fresh off the drying rack (AKA a hanger in my shower lol) I took it to an artists' group meeting to show off. A friend loved it and had to have it, so this pic she sent me is the only one I have of it. She's not sure what she'll make with it yet, this is just a sample swatch.

I hated the roving after I dyed it...it looked blotchy and yuck. But I loved the yarn it ended up becoming   Spun on my drop spindle, a little thick and thin, about 123 yards.

Baby Bird and Hallelujah are gorgeous!

Here are my contributions:

"Castaway"- spun from my own batts comprised of bamboo, falkland, merino, icicle, mohair, and a touch of banana silk. Plied with silver thread.


"Taj" -spun from Felt StudioUK batts- baby camel, baby alpaca, kid mohair, angelina, bamboo, and silk noil. Plied with gold thread.


"Sprang"- spun from my own batts including Merino, falkland, mystery wool, icicle, bamboo, tencel, and ecospun. Plied with cotton crochet thread with yellow glass beads.

Brilliant yarns as usual! Baby bird is one of my favourites, such pretty colours and it already looks soft!

I should really try to take part here more regularly again, but since I work full-time I never get here in time anymore, hehe.
