My MIL asked me to make her some new sleep masks and I figured I should share the pattern

should print to right scale if you fit to page.

http://meandher.blog.ca/2010/09/22/just-trying-to-see-if-posting-a-pdf-will-work-9436783/

this link might be to a pdf version of the pattern...or it might not work.
take a chance and let me know if it does work please.

Thank you so much for the pattern!  I made two today.  One for me and one for a friend.  They turned out nice because of your pattern!  I plan to use mine tomorrow on my flight.  Smiley

Did you line the masks with interfacing?

I used "warm & natural" quilt batting between the two layers of fabric because its what i had on hand, just to darken the light transferance (is that a word?) a bit. So short answer - yup.

Very pretty! My boyfriend was just telling me the other day how he wanted one of those "sleep mask things". Now I can just make one, thanks!

These look just like the pattern I use from the Burda site.  They make a fun satin sleep mask, too - I wanted something like the one from SATC.

i didn't know the burda site had one - i will have to go look.
i got the idea for the pattern from surfing the net for a pattern and not finding anything wide enough not to let the light in. i vaguely remember a grey plaid one that sparked the idea for my pattern.

Any suggestions for ironing the curved edges? I've tried one of these before but had a terrible time with turning in the curved edges =/

Sorry it has taken so long, I was out of town for a bit. The pic needs to be printed to scale which means that it will be too small if the "shrink to fit" option is used. If you can't figure it out I can send you a pdf instead  - email me at lindamarriott @ live. ca without the spaces
