I made this from a piece of Marimekko fabric with a pvc side for my nieces daughter who is starting to see the fun in colours and helping dad with the dishes. She simply needed an apron and since I had this piece lying around it came in handy.

Directly translated from swedish it's called waxed fabric and is used on kitchen tables to protect the area. My mum used to have a big waxed table cloth with a smaller cotton cloth on top.
Nowadays it's more like you buy a waxed cloth (by the meter) with some cool pattern and use it by itself.

I don't know if you can get it in te US though.

Adorable apron. I love the shape and aboslutely love the fabric!

Not as thick as oilcloth or vinyl, right? Sounds like laminated fabric we have in the US.

Super cute.

That is FANTASTIC! I wish I had an apron like that, and I'm totally going to make my kids some aprons. add this to my way-too-long to-do list. I really love the fabric, the idea, the design, everything!
