Last summer I took a weaving class.
We learned how to weave Ikat and Double Cloth.
Ikat is a dyed patterned warp and/or weft
With mastery one can create images.

The warp of doom
6 yards of stick wools that was set double the about for a plain weave
It was so thick my professor told use not to bother with the reed.

I gave this to a friend

Scarf Ikat on my own terms
Warp was not evil and wove up quickly
Plain weave with handspun accent

I have worn this a lot this winter and it is wonderful

Double cloth with a weighted warp
It allows the pockets to be 3-D

I love the look but it takes a long time

I can't decide which is my favorite.  They are all so much fun!  I think I like the orange and turquoise one the best.
