First metalworking project--Virgin of Guadalupe ring!

Hi all! I'm taking a jewelry class through our city art organization this spring (they offer affordable art classes to vermonters, yay!), and I just finished my first piece. It is inspired by a friend's tattoo and a ring another friend of mine made in high school many years ago. It is made of sterling silver and set with an acrylic cabochon with a picture of the Virgin of Guadalupe underneath. I love it so much!!! I am really excited to experiment more with jewelry making now....
