Details of swap:

In this swap, we will make 1 fabric ATC for each partner in your group.  You will be making 3 ATCs, 1 for each partner in your group. (There will be 4 people per group).

You MUST be willing to ship internationally to join! ATCs are pretty small and cheap to ship, and it will make it so much easier for me when matching partners, and will give the international swappers some variety!

Since ATCs are so small, no DC is required, but if the card doesn't show up, you will be required to resend. Please remember that you can get a DC if you'd like (in the US at least), you just need to stuff your package to make it bigger. Since fabric ATCs can sometimes be a lot more time consuming than paper ones, you may wish to do so just for your own piece of mind. If you do, please send me the DC.

just a note...

i've given a fairly long sign up period, but if we fill up before then, sign ups will be closed. however, i'm taking a full weekend class at the end of march, (the 28th and 29th), so if we fill up then, partners will be a bit delayed! it's with Michaal deMeng, i'm SOOOOO excited! it's going to be really hard on me to do the whole weekend though, so i'm sure i won't be up to assigning partners in the evenings!

anyone new to ATCs who's interested in this swap should check out the ATC FAQ, and take a look at the previous galleries (clicking the show images only button will cut down on the chatter you'd have to wade through otherwise!) the biggest things for fabric ATCs is that you need to be aware of the size, and that they should be able to stand up on their own when leaned against something. ie, they shouldn't be floppy! i usually sandwich fabric and cardboard, with the cardboard slightly smaller in the middle, but you could also fuse your fabric to cardstock or something using wonder under. there are lots of possibilities!

what kinds of fabrics are you gals planning on making yours out of?

not sure what fabric I will use yet - I like wool felt but I also get fat quarters at Joanns when they put them on sale - I like to use that thick fusable interfacing that you use to make fabric bowls with for the inside part of the fabric atc sandwhich.
