I just picked at a corner with my nail till that top layer came off. Sometimes they leave a bit of the layer on, or take off a layer below, but generally it all comes off with some careful picking and scratching.

It doesn't matter so much in the centre of the pages (if you're covering with paper) but the edges need to be peeled if you're planning to paint or ink them.

When you peeled the shiny layer off did it ruin the image?
Because i have had some little board books which i have been debating what to do with.
They are the perfect size for little books but i love the images in them Cheesy
See-

 Smiley cuteness.

Thanks! Sometimes I think that's a good thing...other times I think it's a curse! Cheesy

That's cute Smuckers! You'd have to pick very carefully, most times the plastic top will tear in places so you might have to keep picking, and go very slowly. Undecided

Im so jealous, mine are all refusing to come off, most pages in my book now have the corners with no image but thats it. I might try sanding them down so the paint will stick, you think that will work?

I should think so. Maybe with a nail file so it's fine grade? If you're sticking paper on you'll just need to sand the edges anyway Smiley
