Oops, I almost wore these today, but then I remembered you're not supposed to wear orange on St. Patrick's day.  Smiley

Cut earrings, I wore an orange scarf last year with my green shirt, the only person who noticed was someone who had lived in England for the past 10 years.

but that makes no sense cause the irish crest is green white and orange! *sigh* je ne sais pas.

on the irish flag the green represents irish catholics and the orange represents irish protestants. Saint Patrick's is a catholic feast day, so some protestants used to wear orange on that day as an insult to catholics.

I love the earrings, they came out beautifully. I especially like the accent beads, it seems to help make it sparkle a bit more. Wink


As for not wearing Orange, I personally don't represent either paths of religion so I wear both Green and Orange myself...Green being predominant but still. *shrug* I go my own way! Cheesy
