I recieved from dsdiviny! the package was in the mailbox when i came home and what a package!

when I saw the triangle motifs I thought they would be great for a 'gnomie' afghan I'm planning to make for my neice before she goes off to college in the fall...


these flowery wheels look like they are double stranded so they're nice and squishy!


and OMG these frog squares are too cool! i'm taking them to mother-in-laws to show them off because she collects frogs and will be oh so jealous

Holy cow! I love those frog squares! Are the legs part of the motif, are are the stitched on separately? And, are the "eyes" bumps? I need to learn how to make these... I just checked my books and I don't think I have a pattern... but wait... I have a pattern from crochetroo on Etsy that looks pretty similar... Whoo-hoo! I'm making a frog square for my blanket

Oh, and I totally hope this becomes a frequent swap, I just had an idea that it would be really cool to maybe combine it with the scavenger hunt type swap?? Where there are a couple categories to fulfill?

Like~
1. 1 motif is a flower
2. 1 motif has at least 3 colors
3. 1 motif uses ____ stitch  (front post double crochet ,puff, double triple crochet, bouliion)
4. 1 motif is lacy
5. 1 motif is tiny (less than 3 inches)
6. 1 motif is worked _________ (diagonally, in the round, in rows)
7. sender's choice

Oh that sounds awesome!! I would totally join another round either way just to build up more motifs.  But I did have a bit of trouble picking motifs too...but this does help with the selection a bit more. Plus it's a bit easier then measuring every single motif and adding and all that...hehe


I love the frog squares and the triangle ones almost look like pizza slices...

Ooooh Pizza slices crocheted?? I'm inspired....I may have to try that out!!

I received a package of awesomeness from Wyked - that I have been slow to post!!


I love love love the button one - very cool, I think I will have to use that pattern on some embellishments for a few things - majorly in love with buttons lately

Either way, maybe whoever is ready to organize first? Anybody have more ideas for scavenger hunt "requirements"? Those were off the top of my head when I was typing before.

Those frog squares are great! I've seen them before somewhere but totally forgot about 'em! And I love the double layer flower ones Wyked made too!

So here are some more motifs from the lovely dsdiviny, she managed to get all my favorite colors in my motifs!!

And dsdiviny, did you use a pattern for the spiraly one? It almost looks like Sc's on top of the square...though I'm still fairly new so I could be wrong. Thanks again!

You fave colors are my fave colors so working with them was pretty straight forward.  Stuff I make myself looks like  Halloween candles threw up on some yarn.

OMG, the spiraly one, lol!  I drew out a spiral on a piece of graph paper and did a tapestry crochet for the square.  I didn't think the spiral was prominent enough (you'll see what I mean if you look at the back side of the square) so I SC on top following the original spiral design I originally tried to crochet.  Does that make sense?
