Finally finished this house number project today. It's not perfect or symmetrical, but I'm pleased with it all the same. Now if it would just stop raining, maybe I could hang it out front, and get a better picture.
Completed Project:

Some WIP progress pictures:

In this mosaic I used glass rods, brass, stained glass and black grout.

Comments, questions and suggestions are always welcome!  Smiley

You should be very pleased with it!  It's awesome.  I love the different colors of glass that you used, and the black grout.  So pretty.  It'll really add something to the front of your home, I'm sure.  Smiley

It's beautiful!  Just beautiful!  The WIP photos are good, too -- I'm always amazed to see glass projects and how they're done.  Rocks. Cool

I love it!

I was looking at ridiculously expensive - and not half as nice - house numbers today, and this is a great idea.
Is the frame just a picture frame or a special frame?

I think that looks so cool!  Your house will be the most stylish (and easy to find) on the block!  I hate when you can't see the number, or when its just those ugly basic ones.  What a great idea & lovely execution!

The frame is made from treated lumber with a back to it also. Hopefully this will protect it from the elements. Smiley

I think it looks awesome!  I love the colors you used.  I am biting at the bit to do some mosaic(ing) - too much other going on right now.  I am sure you will get lots of compliments on your handiwork!

Keep on craftin'!

Is it my imagination or did you use a string of metal beads to outline your rectangles? That looks really NEAT!

Not your imagination at all! It is brass ball pull chain. Used it and other metals before, and I love mixed it with the glasses. Smiley

Wow, I was really impressed with it by itself, but it looks absolutely stunning on your beautiful front porch! You've inspired me; I'm considering making one of these for a friend who is getting married, if it's not too expensive.
Anyway, great job!
