Ok - first of all I would like to say that I hate commercial patterns.  I have sewn for many years, and started out learning how to from patterns themselves, so I'll give them that.  But of all the 100s of apparel I produced from their patterns- I have NEVER worn any of them - why? Because they sucked.

BUT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN BEHOLD!!!!

Burda 8677

I LOVVVVEEEE BURDA!!! This pattern is so simple- but it's one of the few that actually fits and flows beautifully and it is sooo basic that you can do whatever else you want with it.

I don't have any pics at the moment... but I already made 2 skirts from it.  It has a wide waistband, and the fabric is cut on the bias - OH its drapes ever so nicely.

A+!!!!!!

I'll have to post pics later....

Googling, I've found a german (?) site with the pattern on -
  (http://www.dorits-schneiderei.de/shop/product_info.php?products_id=182&osCsid=cff2962d896f1430c9ade8aefee934fe)

Does anyone know anywhere online that sells Burda patters with shipping to the UK, preferably a site that is in English!  Sadly my foreign language skills are lacking!

There are some Burda patterns on eBay right now, but I couldn't find that particular one.  But there were like 70 listing for Burda in "Sewing"....so you may want to check them out.

I just ordered this pattern on ebay.  I can't wait to get it.

Are there any chains that sell Burda?  like JoAnn or Hancock?

i usually end up havinhg to alter any patterns that I sew cause I am thin and boobless. That skirt it lovely, but did you really need a pattern for it? Seems incredibly simple.

Now the wintertime is coming,
The windows are filled with frost.
I went to tell everybody,
But I could not get across.
Well, I wanna be your lover, baby,
I don't wanna be your boss.
Don't say I never warned you
When your train gets lost.
