I recently traded for some henna at a local Rainbow Gathering, and looked up patterns at hennapage.com for inspiration, but still tried to do something different. The tip of the mylar cone I tried to roll was way too wide to make a thin line, and I totally should have sifted the powder before mixing it, but I know for next time.

Here's what I did (inspired by the North African series of patterns):

you did a seriously amazing job! i love henna but it's deffinitely not the easiest thing to work with. i always have to do really bold things since the tip is usually too wide. but anyways beautiful job! i feel like doing henna now!

I wanna do henna too! My best piece of work I did on a friend, and then she hit it on a doorway. UGH! Even before I could get a picture:( I've got to pick some up! Your piece is very well done, though. Spacing especially, you can see all  the details. Love it! Good job, I can't believe that was your first try!

Great job! Especially since it was your first time those lines came out nice and straight and evenly spaced. You must have a very steady hand (: I like the pattern too, it's simple but the repetitive pattern and geometry give it a very elaborate feel.

Thanks for the encouragement so much everybody!

I've never been a very exceptional drawer, but the fact that it is a geometric pattern certainly made it easier to draw. Henna is definitely a finicky material to work with  Tongue but is so worth getting used to!

Wow that's just amazing! I love doing henna, but it's always so expensive up here so it's not very wallet friendly. Sad But I'm saving up!!!
