When I started to stitch a couple of months ago, I kept thinking it was the perfect medium for pixel art images.  Being little squares themselves, it couldn't be too hard to transform them into crossstitches.

This is the first I did.  I chose a simple character from one of my boyfriend's favorite video games, Final Fantasy VI.

Here is another view to show it's size :

It was a bit harder than I expected because the shirt I chose was a little elastic and because my waste canvas kept moving a little...  I think it turned out ok nonetheless.

Thanks for looking! Smiley

Looks great!  I never thought of cross stitch being relative to pixel art, but your absolutely right!    Cheesy  Thanks for the thought!  All winter, while I've been crocheting in front of the TV, my husband has been saying to me, "I wish I had something crafty to do, too".  He's really into pixel art, so I think I might have found him a new medium to try out!  Thank you, thank you, thank you! Kiss

That is such a great idea! My husband isn't into "crafts" but he is willing to try anything to try something that I like doing. Thank you for the perfect game related pixel art idea for my husband.

Thank you MarieAntoinette for the absolutely darling cross stitch for a tee-shirt. It rocks... also putting the idea into perspective that a guy will be able to relate to. (games)
