I've a rigid heddle loom, 18" across.  It makes me swear, because increasing the tension on it pops the staples out of the wood, and causes me endless problems, but now that the warp is off, I can final fix that by setting the thing with screws.

This is my first *real* project on it!  I'm sure the next will go better.

Anyway, the scarf:

That's my excuse for the dumb selvage problems.  Even so, I'm excited about my scarf!

24 epi, on a 12 heddle (which I had to saw down from the 24" one, the maker of my loom doesn't make one for the 18", at least, not that I could find?)

The story behind this is that I went to a weaving discussion on Friday, where the woman presenting had this wonderful rainbow towel, although it was twill, which I can't do with this loom, and the same day another woman had given me some 8/2 cotton she was destashing, and suddenly, I found myself with the colors to fake a rainbow!  So, Friday night I wound the warp and warped the loom, wove all weekend, finished last night, and washed it today.  And on Tuesday, I'll show it to the women who inspired me, so awesome.

two yards of warp (which was a little short) - all 8/2 cotton
I'm using two yarns per heddle... pink/red, orange/peach, neon yellow/mustard yellow, teal green (only green I have!), two shades of blue that are pretty much the same, light purple/navy blue
24 warp ends of each combination (although, the orange has 26)

weft is red, orange, mustard yellow, teal green, darker blue, purple

When she was good, she was very very good - but when she was bad she was fabulous.

IT looks lovely.  I know that you'll be able to fix the selvage problems once you fix the loom.  I love de-stash projects.
