Here's a wreath I made, using 2 kilos of chocolate Easter eggs!

Edited to add: I glued the wrapped chocolate eggs with a hot glue gun on a straw wreath.

I hope you like it.
BeaG

Edited to add:
PS: we don't put our wreaths on the outside of a door.
Instead we hang them on the wall of for instance our living room, put them on a mantle piece or a cupboard or a bookshell, etc.
Or we ly them flat on a table, for instance as a centerpiece on a dinner table.
This particular one should not be hung/put on a sunny spot!
Or close to a chocolate addict..., lol.

Very cute, and better hanging on the door than padding the hips (at least that would be true in my case)

Thank you, SewEnthusiastic and Gamemom42!
Gamemom, so true! I am a diabetic, so I won't eat them myself anyway (but my partner loves chocolate).

How did you get them to stay on? Wouldn't hot glue melt the chocolate. It looks awesome.

Pinky Yarn, I glued them on a straw wreath with a hot glue gun. I too was afraid they would melt. But luckily the glue cools down so fast that it doesn't melt the chocolate.

I gasped when the images loaded! Two kios of chocolate eggs is a whole lot, but your wreath is so pretty. If the porch got sunny they'd be done for, I think if I make one I'll hang it on the inside of the door. Tongue

Thank you!
Mine is standing on the kitchen chimney (the fire will not be used untill next winter, we use our central heating). It is out of the sun too. It holds up well (and nobody ate from it... yet).

Oh..I am so very happy to see my friend Bea here with a crafting project. Her creations are so incredibly fabulous and she always utilizes the most unique found and common objects and turns them into masterpieces of art! She is the best and I am constantly inspired by her and her work..plus she is also one of the nicest people you will ever know!

This is so beautiful, but to be honest it makes me cry a little on the inside. As a chocoholic I would definitely call this a lovely display of abuse. Great work!!!

Grin   Really cute, but not very practical.  My door faces the sun, it's metal so it gets hot, the chocolate would melt, and then I'd eat it all and there would go my bet to lose 25lbs by Aug. LOL

It would be SO cute flat on a table as a centerpiece.  Maybe plop a crochet bunny right in the middle, too!

I hang wreaths everrrrywhere.  Door, mantle, leaning against walls, you name it.  I believe I'm a wreath-a-holic, though, hehe.

YES!!This wreath would definitely not be safe near me LOL
I will try and make this and hope to make a complete wreath before consuming most of the chocolate. Wink

Perhaps you should buy extra chocolate eggs.
And when you find a wrapper that 'accidentally' came loose and therefore is unsuitable for your project, well, you will have to eat the egg..., right?
