My XVIIIe Corset

Here is a corset I made, following a free pattern, found here : http://www.marquise.de/en/1700/howto/frauen/18corset.shtml
It is in cotton (an old table cloth), has 3 layers, ribbon borders and handmade eyelets.
This project was a lot of rework since the pattern ended up too big (during different phases of the project... even cotton tends to strech when stressed !).

Your corset is amazing!  Did you hand-work all the eyelets?  Please post the finished costume!

Yes, all the eyelets were done by hand.

First, I punched a hole with a big sewing needle, then with a small knitting needle (size 3) and finally with a big knitting needle. I guess there is a special tool that does all that stuff but I dont have any and didnt want to buy one.
The sewing part is similar as a circular button hole (it maybe not historical accurate but it worked fine).

Quite easy. But also time consuming
