I was out thrifting this weekend and looked for some books to use, but none of them struck me as something I thought would work, because I think the text should be house related in some way.

I like the way am uses sort of random phrases on hers. They're not always house related.

We have only 4 slots open. Hopefully we'll fill up soon so we can have paaaaaartners!

LoL Yes yes it is futile!!

Knickertwist, that house is adorable!! I love kiddie crafts. I usually use the kids coloring pages (We have so many, we can't hang them all up, exp since they use the jumbo color pads that are like 3 feet high) to pack my swap packages so that even the filler stuff is pretty! Smiley

I've got a few old books and stamps, but what I want to know is where on earth do you look for all of those awesome old photos?? Estate sales?? And do you scan them so you can use them over and over or do you just use the photo itself? I have a few cool ladies in my clipart folder (Gotta love Dover free samples!!!), but I would like to find some more!

And would you believe that my sister made off with my big box of fortune cookie fortunes!!!  Shocked  Shocked She made her valentines with them!!!

I bought a bunch of photos on ebay and use them. I've also bought a few visiting antique shops but they usually charge too much. In one shop there was box filled with old photos and I asked how much the whole thing was and got a pretty good deal on it. I scan them and keep the originals safe and sound... though I wouldn't be opposed to using originals for the right project.

Knickertwist, that is one terrific house your kid made!  It's a keeper. Smiley

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!  I'm so stoked for this swap.  I'm new to this type of chunky making and am thrilled to be in such amazing company here.  I too hope I can be worthy of you expert papercraftsters.

I'm off to Big Lots now, I've seen it in like 4 different places on craftster today that they have big bags of papercrafting junk for $12.  That's a sign from God that I am supposed to go. Wink
