I'm not sure this qualifies as a quilt but this the closest I could find to the correct category. I made this for my friend who is expecting her first baby in April. They are not finding out the sex so I had to use the generic colors of green and yellow. I found this adorable fabric on the clearance rack at Jo-Ann and it was on extra sale too!! The "quilting" I did was tying with yarn so the layers wouldn't shift. There is batting in there though and its very cuddly. I was getting hot with it in my lap sewing it! Let me know what you think, this was my first attempt at anything like this.

How sweet!  I really like this, and the baby should be all nice and snuggly with it!  Great job!

Very cute!  How did you do the corners with that type of binding??  I have such a hard time with them.

minnafur

I basically took the binding around the corner of the quilt and folded one corner in diagonally and under then flattened the other corner over it. I'm not sure if that made any sense at all but here are a couple pics of the corners that might help. As you can see I din't finish them off perfectly but they work. Hopefully if I make more I'll get better at doing it and describing what I did. Smiley
