Hey all!

Sorry no action shots this time.  I'm waiting to show it to her on St. Patty's, otherwise I'll be doing some extra laundry before the day. Wink  I added a removeable treasure pouch to this one, so it is different from the ones I shared here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=293586.msg3338402#msg3338402

The tutorial:  http://thelandofka.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/twirly-shorts.pdf

Let me know if there are any issues with the .pdf.  I have a new computer and had to download Reader, but I don't feel like restarting my computer right now so I couldn't open it.  It should work though.  If you use it, I'd love to see it! Cheesy

Thanks for any comments. Smiley

Shocked This is fantastic.  I grovel at your feet!  My 7 year old refuses to wear skirts and dresses but fingers crossed I can get her to wear this.  I've been wanting a pattern like this for more than a year!!!!

Oooh, cute!  Thanks so much for the tutorial.  My youngest daughter is about to turn 5 and hasn't learned modesty yet-- we really need the shorts under her skirts!   Smiley

Thanks so much!  I really like this design because my little girl really likes to crawl around, but she also like to be twirly.  The best of both worlds!

Thanks for the link.  I am personally a big fan of skorts and will be (trying) to make one of these before I head South for a little vacation next month.

I like the skirt/shorts combo.  What a great idea for little girls who love to twirl!  The tute came up fine for me, thanks for sharing it.  Excellent job!

These are super cute!  My dd loves wearing dresses and skirts, but I always end up putting shorts on underneath...these will be great and I don't have to make sure that I have 2 articles of clothing clean.

Thanks so much for the tutorial!

Cool!  I just posted some twirly skorts I made from a youcanmakethis.com pattern:

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=337485.0

But on mine, the shorts are actually ruffled bloomers, so look like another skirt underneath.  I may need to try your version, too - can't have too many cool things to wear come summer!

Hey - do you think it would work well with a knit fabric?  My dd likes soft knits . . . I suppose I could always give it a whirl! Smiley

I think you could do them in knit, but I would take out some of the ease in the fabric and don't make it quite so twirly.  It should work though.
