Ok, I have not posted a new project in ages!!! So I had to share this. I have pictures for a tutorial for the whole process, but I didn't know if anyone would be interrested, so here is just the completed photos for now!  I had so much fun making these, the cd case one is mine and I made my sister one out of an old aol box I had been saving up for something cool!  I just depotted my eyeshadows, layed down some magnet sticky stuff on the bottom of the cd case, and tada!  Some of the makeup was cheapy and the metal was not magnetic, so I just double-sided taped those!  I don't have to rummage through my makeup box to find my fav shades anymore, yay!  Some of my makeup was still wet from the alcohol, but it will evaporate soon, I just couldn't wait to share my pics.

*EDIT*  Ok, here is the tutorial like I promised!  I wanted to be lazy today but I am behind on my blog and stuff, so I got it done!  yay!  If you don't understand a step (this is my first tutorial) then just let me know!  To view the original tutorial, please go http://pcoschick.blogspot.com/2009/03/diy-make-your-own-makeup-kit-or-palette.html here, it contains some links to vidoes I used for help and you can click on the photos to enlarge them, thanks! Hope this helps!

First you will need to depot your makeup!!

That is so awesome!   I watched a video tute on youtube and she used sticky tack instead of magnets.  I'd love to see a picture tutorial.  Smiley

Very cool. And not too big to carry in your purse.

LOL that is awesome! I have to laugh because it's yet another "Why didn't I think of that??" thing. The AOL case is awesome; is there a legend on the back so you remember what brand/shade? I have visions of myself trying this and getting makeup everywhere! I do NOT have a steady hand! Good thinking!  Smiley

On a side note, I don't EVER wear make up. Mostly because I don't know how to make it look good on me, and I just don't have the time. However I am obsessed with eye shadow colors. It's weird, I know... That being said: Did you get that turquoise jewel eye shadow recently? I Lurv it and must have it! Grin

Nymeria, yep, the turquoise jewel one is a maybelline and I got it at wal-mart!  It was just a few months ago, like at christmas time, so maybe they will still have it.  And I didn't label the aol case one, but I did on the cd case, so you could label these.

That's pretty genius! I have tons of random makeup supplies, so keeping most of it in one place is really convenient and just plain good. So super simple! I would NEVER have come up with something like this. Great job! So creative! haha. Smiley
