This is beautiful.  You did an amazing job.  And what a great way to remember your loved ones.

I think that might just be the best re-purpose I've ever seen.

How were you able to get the glitter behind the Madonna so even? Is that glitter paint? My glitter is always clumpy. Did you seal the glitter with acrylic?

I did it in layers... the blue layer first. Glue, glitter, dry, tap out the excess. Then the yellow/white. Glue, glitter, dry, tap out the excess. Then finally the red. I used a paint brush to apply the glue so that it only went where I wanted it and so that my glue layer was even. After it was dry I used a soft dry brush to remove stray glitter... it isn't perfect but it's not too, too sloppy.

I'm a sucker for shrines!  Love yours.  Great use of the old barbie house or whatever it was.

Like you, I have a stash of stuff for future projects.  I'm trying to use things I have now - and avoiding the craft store!  It is hard though...

I looked up the Sailor moon Playcastle thing, and after seeing your shrine, it makes me want to special order one just so I can make a shrine too!

Nicely done!
