I recieved from angelcallie yesterday! It's a GREAT wallet! She did an amazing job on it, and used two of my themes Astronomy and India, astronomy with the cosmos fabric and India with the Om symbol! It really well made, and I actually have both of the fabrics she used at my house, somewhere.

Thanks so much, I'm deff going to get alot of use out of it! I love the letter you sent with it, by the way, "Hopefully the Om will help you keep your center in this new economy, and if all else fails, you still have the infinite cosmos inside your wallet!". Thank you so much

FINALLY got my butt around to posting photos...

From thanate, a lovely, hand-sewn and handmade mini-book.  I'm someone who tends to misplace things, so she put heavy-duty magnets on the back.  (It looks black, but it's a deep blue).

And, on the inside, a recipe for VERY decadent brownies, and recycled paper, so I can add things to the other pages.  I especially like the elastic braid, which keeps the book closed OR open to the right page. Wink

Very cool, it's on my fridge right now (if only there were a place in my car to stick it..)

Thank you thanate!  I really like it!

I'm so glad you like it! I was a little nervous about it since it was my first wallet. It's funny that you have those fabrics lying around, too!

Yay, I got my TT from anastrophe today Cheesy  She used my Firefly theme and made me an Inara-inspired tea wallet:

She said the material came from a thrift shop skirt and that this was the first time she made something with piping.  I think it looks totally awesome. Cheesy Also, she sewed it on a treadle sewing machine; no electricity required!  That's sew cool!  Wink I can hardly wait to show it off to my family and friends; Thank you so much, anastrophe!

And since she hasn't had a chance to post yet, here's what I made for her that she received over the weekend:

I used her flower and black themes and make a jar with a hidden compartment inside to hide your treasures.  She described herself as a "recovering blackaholic" in one of her PMs so I included some blueish/redish/purpleish flowers to give a little variety.  The design I painted on the lid of the jar is based on patterns from medieval blackwork embroidery.  I originally wanted to paint it to look like embroidered stitches but I couldn't get it too look right, so I just went with plain lines.  There is a big leaf glued to the bottom of the tube so you can't see it if you look in from the bottom, and a few flower petals glued to the top of the tube to keep the other flowers from popping up out of the jar when the lid is off. Cheesy

looking inside:

the lid in progress with the images that inspired the design:

the little copper ring I used to keep the note rolled up nice and neat inside  Cheesy

I can't believe I forgot to take a picture of the closed jar with the finished lid;  I must have just been too anxious to get it in the mail :p
