My mom turned 46 this month and I am flat broke, but I still wanted to do something nice for her that involved effort if it could not involve cash. So I hit up the dollar store with this post in mind, and voila, 46 reasons why I love my mom:

I thought the jar would be a lot fuller, but as it turns out I'm glad I decided not to fill it because she read each and every reason that night after dinner!

And the card I made by cross-stitching the girl and framing it with cardstock, on a blank white card.

I colored the white aida with a blue pencil crayon because the white cake was not showing against the white cloth, it's hard to see in this picture but the hat she's wearing is a cake with candles on it, lol. I got the pattern from a book I found at Chapters the other day!

thank you SO  MUCH!!!  I am gonna do this for my mom. she always prefers handmade stuff from her kids (I am the baby at 38)  year or so ago my brother made her reindeer head with construction paper  using tracing of his hands and feet (he's 4 years older than me) she still cries when she looks  at it LOL

I will have to start thinking up all the many reasons now.....  thank you!!

This is so cute!! My brother and I did something like this one year for Christmas for our Nana. Ours however was a little less pretty and more thrown together looking then yours. We used a brown paper bag and put the reasons inside like a drawing. She loved it.

I'm sure she liked that better than anything you would have purchased at a store. A great thoughtful idea.
