There is a similar bag at machen machen's blog: http://machenmachen.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/machen-machen-wasp-bag.pdf
There is a slight difference, but you could modify the pattern to make it work.  I made a bag from this pattern and it is super simple.

gorgeous bag, I too want to make a bag similar to yours, have the fabric just need to take the time to do it. Love the stitching and I'll keep that in mind when I finally do one.
