There is no venus magazines in my town!  Everyone stopped carrying them for some reason.  I will gladly trade someone for this issue!  If you PM me and tell me what you want, I can probably accomodate!  I've never been in a magazine before, and would love to own this one.

You can get a subscription of Venus through PayPal on their website www.venuszine.com for $15USD. Past issues are like $5 each also through Paypal.

EDIT: The link is fixed. I gave the wrong web address by mistake.

Wow, that's awesome! I love that mag!

Iciclegirl, why don't you see if you can email the magazine staff to ask if they'd send you a comp copy since you're in it? Can't hurt to try...

Good idea IndiaRomeo, I really don't have the extra $$$ to get a subscription.  I do feel very happy that I'm in the magazine.  Thanks to craftster, Leah, and everyone I would have never gotten in it!  Another reason to love craftster!

I work at an AC Moore and I wear a lot of my jewelry and crafts and things to work- some which I learned about here on the boards. Anytime a customer appears or is interested, I tell them about craftster. I even wrote it on one woman's receipt for her so she could join. AND! This board has been helpful to me in answering some crazy questions that customers think up. (For instance, this past weekend a woman asked if we had any metal message boards and I told her that on this forum, I'd read about people getting metal at the hardware store and making their own magnetic boards).

Just thought I'd share that I love reading articles here and I pass it on by word of mouth.

My friend told me about Craftster ages ago after accidentally finding it on the internet and (quite rightfully) thinking I would love it here! But I just found a Craftster sighting in one of my favourite magazines too so I thought I'd let you know, it was in this month's (Jan05) issue of NGC magazine in the UK, an unofficial Nintendo games mag. I figured they must've seen the BoingBoing thing too cos the Mario quilt got mentioned in their 'best of the 'net' section on page 105.

--- "UGH! FINALLY!! My Mario quilt is complete." says internet resident 'Emily', having spent months stictching together 4cm squares of comfiness. The end result? A colourful, cosy bedcover featuring the 'tached one. Comments from impressed visitors include "You are my hero" and "Precision exemplified!" - and also "I love how it's pixellated, like in real life!" from someone who's presumably trapped in the Matrix.---
they then give the URL...

so you might be seeing a few more nintendo fans on here in the near future, not that we don't have millions already! I love all the nintendo inspired craftiness, especially the mario quilt, a true labour of love and a brilliant idea Smiley
luv, blessings & pixelblocks, rach =)
